My mother kept a muslin from when I was a baby and gave it to me when I had my first child. It was a wonderful gesture. She kept her memory alive in her way and I kept it in mine.

These days I use my vintage muslin sparingly, in very small pieces, and apply it to metal surfaces. I love how its’ soft pattern becomes gently structured when applied to metal. The finish is quiet and unassuming, creating a tactile rippled surface which reflects light beautifully.
